Meet Kedim: Every Cat Game on Games by Zaib, From Puzzles to Space
Cats turn up all over Games by Zaib. There is a cat therapist, a baby cat to raise, a hungry cat to feed with physics puzzles, a cat on a platform adventure and two cats in space. Here is a quick tour, with a starter tip for each.

If you have spent any time on Games by Zaib you have probably noticed a theme: cats. A cheeky cat called Kedim is the closest thing the site has to a mascot, and he appears in several games in different jobs and at different ages. Meowstronauts adds two more cats, Sunny and Shadow, who are trying to fly home through space.
These five games are very different from each other. One is a story game, one is a pet game, one is a puzzle game, one is a platform adventure and one is a space shooter. So if you like cats but not every kind of game, there is still a good chance one of these fits.
Kedim Therapist: a cat who listens
What it is: a cosy comedy game set in a little office. You play Dr. Kedim, a ginger cat with a red scarf, a dry sense of humour and a habit of knocking things off his desk. Animal patients come in with very silly worries: Biscuit the dog is scared of the mail slot, Boo the ghost is afraid of the dark, and Ember the dragon keeps setting the couch on fire.
How it plays: each session is a short chat. You pick a Kind, Wise or Funny reply, play a calming mini-game such as Breathe With Me or Whack-a-Thought, and then pick one more reply. The patient's mood decides your star rating. There are 12 patients with three sessions each.
Who it suits: players who like stories, jokes and gentle, low-pressure games. Sessions take about two minutes.
Starter tip: the Funny replies are fun to try, but when we checked every story session, the best answer was always Kind or Wise. Save Funny for when you want a laugh.

Baby Kedim: raise a kitten
What it is: a virtual pet game where Kedim is a tiny black kitten. He needs food, fun, a bath and sleep, and little rings on the room buttons show how he is feeling.
How it plays: you move between four rooms. In the Kitchen you drag food to his mouth. In the Bathroom you rub soap all over him and tap Rinse. In the Bedroom you turn the lights off for a nap. In the Playroom you pet him, throw a ball and play mini-games for coins. Coins buy hats, collars, glasses and decorations.
The clever part is how he grows up. A happy Kedim grows from Kitten to Kid, Teen and Adult, and the mini-game he plays most decides what kind of grown-up cat he becomes: Therapist Kedim, Snack-Swing Kedim or Adventurer Kedim. It is a nice nod to the other Kedim games.
Who it suits: younger players and anyone who likes caring for a pet. Kedim never gets hurt. If you forget him for a while, he just gets sulky or messy and stops growing until you look after him again.
Starter tip: keep all of his needs topped up, not only his favourite one. He only grows when he is happy overall.
Kedim's Snack Swing: feed the hungry cat
What it is: a physics puzzle game. Kedim is hungry, and his fish treat hangs from ropes. Swipe across a rope to cut it, so the treat swings, flies and drops into his mouth.
How it plays: there are 120 levels in six themed boxes: Kitchen, Garden, Toy, Space, Magic and Spooky. New ideas arrive one at a time, such as bubbles that lift the treat, air cushions that blow it sideways, a gravity switch, bouncy pads, portals and spiders that crawl down the rope to steal the treat. Every level has three stars to collect, and stars open the next boxes.
Who it suits: puzzle fans of any age. The early levels are easy enough for young players, and the later boxes really make you think.
Starter tip: timing matters more than speed. Let the treat swing and cut when it is moving toward Kedim. One swipe can cut several ropes at once, so aim carefully. If you are truly stuck, a hint shows the full solution, and you start with three.
Kedimz Adventure: a platform journey
What it is: a side-scrolling platform game. Kedimz the cat sets off to bring back the Golden Bells across five worlds of four levels each.
How it plays: run, jump and swipe with your paw through Meadow Hills, Sunscorch Desert, Frostbite Caverns, Ember Castle and Cloud Kingdom. Each world ends with a boss: the Mole King, Scarab Pharaoh, Yeti, Magma Golem and Storm Owl. Power-ups include Fire Paw, Ice Paw and Wings for a double jump, and some pipes lead to secret bonus rooms.
Who it suits: anyone who grew up on classic platform games, and kids who are ready for a bit more challenge. Damage is forgiving: you shrink first, then lose a heart, and falling into a pit puts you back on safe ground.
Starter tip: hold JUMP for a higher jump, and keep holding a direction to break into a run. Each level hides three gems, so explore off the main path. You can switch to a joystick, change button size or use a left-handed layout in Settings.
Meowstronauts: two cats in space
What it is: an arcade space flyer. Sunny the yellow cat and Shadow the black cat ride rockets across six planets to get home, dodging asteroids, collecting fish stars and blasting space mice and robots.
How it plays: drag anywhere to fly and your cat shoots by itself. Each cat has a special power: Sunny's Sun Shield bounces bullets back, and Shadow's Shadow Cloak lets you fly through everything for a moment. Every planet, from Moon Cheese to Home: Purrth, ends with a boss. You can also play two players on one phone.
Who it suits: action fans. It is the fastest of the cat games and the hardest.
Starter tip: you have three hearts, and on our first careless run we lost them all to a cheese asteroid, a UFO and a space mouse in under a minute. Stay near the left-middle of the screen where you have time to react, and only dart out for fish when the way is clear.
