Kedim Therapist Guide: Best Replies, Mini-Games and 5-Star Sessions

In Kedim Therapist you are Dr. Kedim, a ginger cat with a red scarf who listens to silly animal patients. Each session is a short, funny chat plus one mini-game. This guide shows how the mood meter really works, so you can turn 3-star visits into 5-star ones.

PLAY KEDIM THERAPIST

Kedim Therapist is a cosy comedy game set in a little office with a couch, an armchair and a rubber duck wandering about. Your patients are animals with very silly worries: a dog who is scared of the mail slot, a ghost who is afraid of the dark, a dragon who keeps setting the couch on fire. You listen, pick a reply, play a short calming mini-game and send them home feeling a bit better.

It is gentle and funny rather than serious, though every session ends with a small, real-life tip, such as "Slow breaths tell your body it's safe. Try in for 4, out for 6." Sessions take about two minutes, which makes it a nice game for short breaks.

How a session goes

  1. The patient explains their problem. Tap the speech box to move through the chat. Lines type out like a typewriter, and tapping skips ahead.
  2. You pick a reply. Three cards appear, each labelled Kind, Wise or Funny.
  3. A mini-game. A card explains it, then you tap Start.
  4. A second reply.
  5. Results. The final mood sets your star rating, the patient leaves a short review, and you earn coins and a new page in Kedim's Notebook.

Two stars or more moves the story on to that patient's next session. Each of the 12 patients has three sessions, so there are 36 in the story, and the third one ends with a little graduation.

On a phone everything is tapping, plus dragging in a couple of the mini-games. On a computer, Space or Enter moves the chat along and 1, 2 or 3 picks a reply.

The secret of the mood meter

The bar at the top of the screen is the patient's mood. Here is how it adds up, worked out from playing and checking the numbers:

What happensMood change
Patient arrivesStarts at 22, plus a bonus for a cosy office and the Tea Machine
The best reply+22
An okay reply+11
A silly reply-6 (only -3 with the Cozy Blanket)
The mini-gameUp to +30, depending on your score

And this is how mood becomes stars:

Final moodStars
90% or more5
75% or more4
55% or more3
35% or more2
Below 35%1

Our very first session with Biscuit the dog shows the maths. We picked Kind both times. The first Kind reply was the best one (+22), but the second was only okay (+11): the best reply there was the Wise one about watching the mailman from the window with a toy. We scored 50% on the breathing game (+15). That is 22 + 22 + 15 + 11 = 70% mood, which gave 3 stars and 56 coins.

To reach 5 stars with an empty office you need both best replies and at least 80% in the mini-game. Decorating the office and the Tea Machine make it much easier, because the patient starts happier.

The seven mini-games

Mini-gameWhat you doTip
Breathe With MeTap when the glowing ring meets the bubbleDon't rush. The rhythm is slow on purpose: in... and out
Untangle ThoughtsDrag yarn balls so no strands crossRed strands are crossed, green ones are free. Fix the ball with the most red first
Feelings MatchFlip two cards at a time to match feelingsFewer tries means a happier patient. Remember where cards were
Worry JarDrag the jar to catch grey worry cloudsLet the golden good thoughts float past
Ink Blot TestPick what you see in the blotPick the answer that fits your patient. The silly one is funny but helps less
Purr TherapyTap when the needle is in the green zoneThe very centre counts as PERFECT
Whack-a-ThoughtBonk gloomy thought clouds with your pawLeave the sunny good thoughts alone

Timed mini-games warn you in the last five seconds with a red, pulsing timer and a "Hurry!" message.

Coins, the shop and upgrades

Coins come from every session, and there is a bonus for better reviews. The Shop has three kinds of things to buy:

- Office decorations such as couches, plants, lamps, rugs, an aquarium and a cat tree. They show up in the office, and many of them add cosiness, which raises every patient's starting mood (up to +14). - Outfits and fur colours for Kedim. These are just for fun. - Upgrades: - Tea Machine: +5 starting mood per level, 3 levels - Cozy Blanket: silly replies cost half as much mood - White Noise Machine: mini-games give 10% more mood per level, 2 levels - Treat Jar: +15% coins per level, 3 levels - Nap Pillow: one extra Insight Nap each new day

What to buy first: the first Tea Machine level (120 coins) is the best early buy because it helps every single session. After that, a cosy couch or plant, then the Treat Jar to speed up coins.

Walk-ins and the daily patient

After your first two story sessions, the Walk-in Clinic opens. It sends random patients one after another, so you can keep playing after the story. There is also a daily patient who pays double coins and builds a streak if you visit each day.

Little things to try in the office

Tap Kedim to pet him. Tap the things on his desk and he knocks them off, just like a real cat (there is an award for doing it 10 times). Ducky the duck and Mei Mei the black cat wander around the office and react to your patients; you can switch them off in Settings. Settings also has a moonlit Midnight office theme.

FAQ

Is Kedim Therapist suitable for kids?

Yes. The worries are silly (a pigeon who doesn't trust bread), the humour is gentle, and nobody gets hurt. The small tips at the end of sessions, like slow breathing, are friendly ideas anyone can use.

What happens if I get a bad rating?

Nothing bad. With 1 star the story simply stays on that session, and you can try again with different replies. You still earn some coins, just fewer than for a passing session.

How many patients and sessions are there?

12 patients with three sessions each, so 36 story sessions, plus endless walk-ins and a daily patient.

What is the fastest way to get 5 stars?

Buy the Tea Machine and some cosy decorations, choose Kind or Wise (never Funny) and aim for 80% or more in the mini-game. Use an Insight Nap when you are unsure.

Does my progress save?

Yes, automatically on your device. Close the game whenever you like and your office, coins and story will be waiting.
