What is Find Kedim!?
Find Kedim! is a hidden object game where every hidden object is a cat. Each picture is a big, busy hand drawn scene full of people going about their day, stalls, bicycles, boats, plants and buildings. Somewhere in all of that are Kedim and friends: sitting on roofs, peeking out of windows, curled up under benches or hiding behind fruit stalls.
There are 15 pictures. They visit five places, each at three times of day:
- Kampung: wooden stilt houses, palm trees, chickens and washing lines.
- Beach: sand, boats, beach umbrellas and food stalls.
- KL Street: shop houses, cars, buses and tall towers behind.
- Wet Market: busy stalls of fish, fruit and vegetables.
- Mosque Courtyard: a calm courtyard with a fountain, palm trees, benches and flower pots.
Pictures 1 to 5 visit each place in the daytime, pictures 6 to 10 come back in the afternoon, and pictures 11 to 15 show the same places in the evening light. There is no losing in the normal game, so you can take as long as you like.
How to play
Look around the picture and tap a cat when you see one. Each cat you find gives a happy meow, and the counter at the top goes up. Find every cat in the picture to finish it and earn a sticker.
- Zoom: pinch with two fingers, or use the plus and minus buttons. On a computer you can also use the mouse wheel.
- Look around: drag with one finger or the mouse.
- Tap: tap or click on a cat to find it. Tapping on empty spots does nothing bad.
Your finds are saved after every cat, so you can stop in the middle of a picture and come back to it later.

How many cats are there?
The first picture has 10 cats, all out in the open and easy to see. Each new picture adds a few more, and the last picture has 36. As the pictures get bigger and busier, more cats hide behind things with only their ears, tail or face showing.
From about the seventh picture, a few cats also have coats that blend in with what is around them, such as a grey cat on a grey wall or a sandy cat on the beach. All camouflaged cats have normal cat colours like grey, cream, brown, black or white. Even in the hardest pictures, at least half of the cats are the usual bright orange.
The hint button
Stuck? Tap the glowing magnifier. The picture glides and zooms to the nearest cat you have not found yet and marks the spot, and you still get to tap the cat yourself. Hints never run out. After a hint, the button needs about five seconds to fill up again. If you go a while without finding a cat, the button starts to glow to remind you it is there.
Tips for finding every cat
- Zoom in and sweep. Zoom in quite close, then drag slowly from one side of the picture to the other, a strip at a time, like reading a page.
- Look for ears and tails. Many cats sit behind something. Two little pointed ears over a wall or a tail hanging off a roof are easy to miss.
- Check the usual cat spots. Roofs, windows, doorways, under benches and cars, beside plant pots, inside boats and on top of stalls.
- Look for eyes. A camouflaged cat can be the same colour as the wall, but its eyes and face still stand out.
- Use the hint for the last one. The last cat is often the hardest. One hint is usually enough to show the corner it is in.
Timed mode and stickers
When you finish a picture, its timed mode opens. In timed mode you find the same cats against the clock. You get nine seconds for every cat plus a little extra, so the first picture gives you just under two minutes. The hint takes longer to fill in timed mode.
Every finished picture gives a sticker for your album. Beating the clock in any timed picture of a place also earns a special golden sticker for that place. That makes 20 stickers to collect.
Is Find Kedim! good for children?
Yes. It is calm, there is no losing in the normal game, and reading is hardly needed, since the game uses pictures and icons. There is no chat, no ads during play and nothing to buy. The people in the pictures wear modest clothes and the scenes show everyday life in Malaysia, which makes it a nice game to play together and talk about what you see.
Common questions
Does it work on phones? Yes. It is made for phones first and also works on tablets and computers, upright or sideways.
Is my progress saved? Yes, on the device you play on: every picture you finish, every sticker and your finds inside a picture you have not finished yet.
Do the cats move? No. Every player gets exactly the same picture with the cats in the same places, so you can help a friend by telling them where to look.
