About the game
Chai Tycoon is an idle tycoon game for phones and desktop browsers with a South Asian street-food feel. You start with a single roadside chai stall. Customers in kurtas, topis, dupattas and turbans line up for steaming kulhads, and the chaiwala pours each one from a height.
Grow from the stall into 8 businesses: Paratha Tawa, Samosa Counter, Lassi Bar, Highway Dhaba, City Cafés, Delivery Fleet and Chai Export Co. Each one opens up along the bazaar as you buy it, with rickshaws, delivery bikes and a truck-art export truck on the road and a day and night cycle overhead. Hire managers to automate everything, earn while you are away, and Franchise for Stars that make every new run faster.
How to play
- Tap the street scene to serve chai. Every tap pays you and starts any shop that is waiting for you.
- Buy more of each shop with the BUY button (x1, x10, x100, NEXT milestone or MAX). Owning 25, 50, 100, 200, 300 and 400 of a shop doubles its speed, and getting every shop to 10, 25, 50 and more doubles all profits.
- Hire a manager for each shop in the Managers tab so it keeps running by itself. Shops with a manager also earn while you are away, up to an offline cap (2 hours at first), and a welcome-back summary shows what they made.
- Buy upgrades to multiply profits. Watch for timed events: the Cricket Match Rush (all profits x3), the Eid Special, Monsoon Pakora Time and the Wedding Order tap challenge. Catch the golden kulhad when it floats by.
- When your Franchise tab shows enough Stars, franchise: you start over, but each unspent Star adds 2% profit forever. You can also spend Stars on perks like Family Recipe (profits x2), Long Naps (longer offline time) and Head Start.
- Claim the daily reward to build a 7-day streak that ends with a permanent Golden Kettle bonus, and collect 54 achievements for +1% profit each.
